About Astera 

My first sheltie came home in 2018. Aria changed my world with her unwavering devotion, and biddability. No matter what I was doing she was game and enthusiastic to take part. Her joyful temperament led me to finding a well bred sheltie and years later Faye came home, my dream come true puppy. In the years since I've studied the breed and learned so much along with had the opportunity to develop my own vision of what the perfect sheltie is. I strive to have dogs who are mentally sound, 100% devoted to their person, healthy, and enthusiastic with biddable temperaments. A little sheltie sass adds to their perfection. Life with shelties guarantees you may never sleep in again, but you're also never alone, or bored. They're always convinced your idea is the best thing they've ever heard! After all, if they're with you they're happy.

We are located on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington state. Where the ocean meets the Columbia River. Blessed with miles of beaches and forest surrounding us to explore it's the perfect place to live with our dogs. We show all over the pacific northwest and surrounding states. Heather also operates a dog training business - Discovery Canine Adventures. She works with everything from extreme behavioral cases to students who show dogs. 

We very rarely have dogs available, though you're welcome to contact us for a referral. Occasionally we will have a puppy for performance, or active companion home or a rescue ready to be a great companion.
